Leake County is governed by a 5-member Board of Supervisors which elected every four years. Numerous other officials are elected on a county-wide basis.

The three municipalities in the county are governed by Mayors and Board of Aldermen as code-charter municipalities.

The Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians is governed by a Tribal Council and Chief.

Leake County voters are divided between different districts for state and federal offices.  To find out which district you live in, please contact the Leake County Circuit Clerk's office.
