Development Association as a vehicle for tax-deductible
contributions to be made to community development
projects.

RECENT/CURRENT
PROJECTS
OF THE
FOUNDATION:
Keep Leake Beautiful Project—Contributions totaling
$12,000 were received for the beautification project of
Downtown Walnut Grove. The project received a
state-wide Keep Mississippi Beautiful award.
· 
Restoration
of Carthage Elementary School—The Leake County
Foundation is now accepting contribution for the
restoration of the Carthage Elementary School Auditorium
for public use as a community center. A $200,000 grant
from HUD was made possible by Congressman Chip Pickering
for the project. All contributions will be used to
renovate the auditorium as we seek matching funds to
complete the project.
